I love sweet April’s gentle call,
This month feels different, after all.
A stirring deep within my chest!
A season unlike all the rest.
Bloom where you’re planted, brave and bright,
Bloom through the cracks, defy the night.
Bloom past the thorns, the stone, the scar,
Bloom right here, right where you are.
Growth aches, yet wears a lovely face,
Embrace its work, receive its grace.
Water your soul, let God impart
His tending touch upon your heart.
